Located in the Omniturm building in Frankfurt, Germany, Leo Villareal’s volumetric work enlivens the lobby for this residential and commercial building. Volume (Omniturm) is a powerful addition to the lobby that is ephemeral, floating in space through its use of mirrored stainless steel which reflects the surrounding lobby as well as the urban landscape outside. Almost disappearing, the structure serves to hold light in space. Abstract patterns move through the array, creating energy and filling the core of the building with life.
